Home

The inaugural ICC Emerging Nations Trophy is set to run from 20 November to 30 November in Thailand. The tournament will present the opportunity to the eight best associate teams to compete in a competitive structured format.

From the Emerging Nations Trophy, Scotland, Netherlands, Thailand, Namibia and PNG will be part of the ICC Global Qualifier.

This tournament presents the perfect opportunity for countries to prepare for the Global Qualifier in Nepal in early 2026 which is the pathway to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England.

Each team is set to play in a round robin league stage format with four matches per day, the final day of the league stage will be on 30 November.

Scotland enter the tournament in great form, after putting up a dominant performance and winning every single game in the Quad Cup that preceded this tournament.

Sarah Bryce, the stand-in captain in the absence of her sister Kathryn Bryce led them to 11th place in the ICC rankings, leapfrogging Thailand to become the highest ranked nation in the Emerging Nations Trophy.

Darcey Carter will look to continue her fine touch with the bat, the opener was the top run getter in the Quad Cup scoring 119 across three innings with an average of 59.50.

The Netherlands will be playing cricket for the first time since their successful European Regional Qualifiers, the team will have to adapt to life without ex captain Heather Siegers who recently announced her retirement.

There is positive news for the Oranje as Sterre Kallis returns to the squad after missing out on the Regional Qualifiers due to The Hundred commitments.

Iris Zwilling will be the player to watch from the Netherlands, the all-rounder took 10 wickets in six games in the Regional Qualifiers and was nominated for ICC Player of the Month Award for August.

Thailand will look to gain their spot back in the ICC rankings, after losing to Scotland on the last ball of the game, the hosts will be eagerly awaiting the fixture against Scotland on the last day of the competition which could potentially be the tournament decider.

Papua New Guinea and UAE enter the tournament fresh off a four-match Women ODI series which ended 2-2.

UAE missed out on qualifying for the Global Qualifier on their last visit to Thailand with the hosts topping the group as UAE missed out by one point, they will be feeling hard done by after winning their previous T20I series 2-0 against Zimbabwe.

Led by ICC Associate Cricketer of the Year Esh Oza they will look to turn their fortunes against the best associate nations.

PNG registered a win against Namibia in the Quad Cup and will be looking to adapt to the conditions and give the other teams a run for their money. They enter the tournament as the third highest ranked nation and will look to compete for the trophy at stake.

The three African nations Namibia, Tanzania and Uganda enter the tournament having played against each other in the African regional qualifier. Uganda will enter the tournament as the highest ranked nation out of the three, however it is Namibia with bragging rights after booking their slot in the Global Qualifier preventing Tanzania from qualifying back in August.

Namibia will have their work cut out for them after losing all matches in the Quad Cup, with Tanzania and Uganda looking to impress and make a point knowing they won’t be playing ICC competitions over the coming months.

The matches are set to be split between Terdthai Cricket Ground and Asian Institute of Technology Ground, both venues are in Bangkok.

The ICC Emerging Nations Trophy will be available to watch on ICC.TV around the globe. In India the matches will be streamed on Fancode. The games will be played at two slots of 2:30 AM and 6:45 AM GMT
