Sarah Bryce will lead a 14 player squad for the inaugural ICC Emerging Nations Trophy in Thailand this November. Full time captain Katheryn Bryce will be unavailable for the tournament due to her commitments with Hobart Hurricanes in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL).
The ICC announced a new annual Women's Emerging Nations Trophy earlier in July featuring the top eight women's associate members.
The ICC Emerging Nations Trophy was launched earlier this year as an annual tournament designed to give leading women’s associate members more competitive opportunities. The eight-team competition will bring together five sides with ODI status comprising Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Thailand, and the UAE, along with Namibia, Tanzania, and Uganda, the top-ranked T20I associates not already included.
For Scotland, the event represents a rare and valuable stretch of international cricket. Their most recent outing came back in April against Ireland in Pakistan at the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup qualifiers. The tournament in November will provide crucial preparation ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in Nepal taking place in January 2026.
Mollie Parker has earned her first senior call-up after impressing at the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup and with Scotland A over the summer. All-rounder Niamh Robertson-Jack makes a long-awaited return after a two-year absence due to injury, while Katherine Fraser re-joins fresh from winning The Hundred with Northern Superchargers. Darcey Carter and Ailsa Lister also come into camp carrying momentum, having lifted the England Domestic One-Day Cup with Lancashire.
Speaking on the additions Scotland Head Coach told Cricket Scotland:
“Mollie Parker comes into the squad for the first time after some brilliant performances across the summer for Scotland A. She’s shown with bat and ball that she’s ready for this level of cricket and given she’s still very young, she’s been very impressive.”
“It’s also exciting to welcome Niamh Robertson-Jack after a long absence. She’s had a really tough eighteen months with a knee injury so this is a great moment for her, and we’re keen to see what she can do on this tour.”
