Namibia and Zimbabwe have officially booked their places in the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup after impressive semifinal victories in the Africa Regional Final held in Harare on Thursday. They will join Ireland, Netherlands and Italy in India and Sri Lanka early next year.

Namibia secured their fourth consecutive T20 World Cup appearance with a commanding 63-run victory over Tanzania.

Zimbabwe returned to the T20 World Cup for the first time since 2022 with a seven-wicket triumph over Kenya.

With 17 teams now confirmed, the final three T20 World Cup 2026 spots will be determined at the Asia-East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier running from 8-17 October 2025, in Oman. Nine teams will compete in this decisive tournament. The 2026 T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams competing in India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March, 2026.

The qualified teams include both host nations (India and Sri Lanka), seven teams from the 2024 tournament's top performers, three from ICC T20I rankings, and regional qualifier winners including Canada from the Americas, Italy and Netherlands from European qualifiers, and now Namibia and Zimbabwe from Africa.
