Ireland announce Under-19 Mens squad to play against England and Bangladesh

With the 2026 Under-19 Men’s World Cup set to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia early next year. The Ireland U-19 team are set to tour Loughborough between 27 August and 4 September 2025. 

The tour consists of a youth-ODI against England U-19 and Bangladesh U-19. In addition, the young Irish team will also face off against players from various counties coming together as the Challengers (Minor Counties Select XI). 

The fixtures are as follows:

28 August 2025 - Ireland U-19s vs Challengers

2 September 2025 - Ireland U-19s vs England U-19s 

3 September 2025 - Ireland U-19s vs Bangladesh U-19s

These matches will provide a great opportunity for the players to make a selection case ahead of the marquee tournament. 

The following players have been selected as part of the 14-man squad to travel to Loughborough:

Olly Riley (c), James West, Alex Armstrong, Seb Dijkstra, Thomas Ford, Gethin Kelleher, Adam Leckey, Febin Manoj, Ethan Marshall, Daniel Murray, Robert O’Brien, Freddie Ogilby, Bruce Whaley, Reuben Wilson.
