Scotland win by 55 runs

Sarah Bryce-led Scotland side got off to winning start in Bangkok in their opening match against PNG in the Women's T20I Quadrangular Series in Thailand by 55 runs.

Darcey Carter was awarded Player of the Match for her brilliant knock, carrying the bat through the innings and making 71* along the way. Along with her starring role with the bat she claimed two catches in the field.

Bryce (23) and Priyanaz Chaterji (21) put in some handy runs as the team put up a competitive total of 146.

Niamh Robertson-Jack made a memorable return to international cricket from an ACL injury that kept her out of the national team for two years. From her four overs, the left-arm spinner ended with career best figures of 3-17.

Niamh was ably supported by Olivia Bell claiming 2-16 as the Scotland bowlers restricted PNG to 91-8 after the conclusion of their 20 overs sealing a comfortable win.

Scotland will look to carry this momentum throughout the Quadrangular series into the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy that is set to begin next week.
