The Dutch have introduced three changes to their squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh. While Ryan Klein and Fred Klassen have been ruled out of the away series because of injuries, Saqib Zulfiqar has made himself unavailable due to personal reasons.

Uncapped 17-year-old batter Cedric De Lange has been rewarded a maiden call-up after consistent performances at both club and U-19 level. His string of impressive performances in the ProSeries made the young talent one to watch out for. The Netherlands captain Scott Edwards praised de Lange’s performances that led to the call up.

"It's always exciting to bring a youngster into the squad. Cedric has been impressive all summer and he's really earned this call-up. We're looking forward to seeing what he can offer us on this tour and, hopefully, across a long career ahead of him,” Edwards was quoted by ESPNCricinfo as saying.

Right-arm quick Sebastian Braat returns to the squad for the first time since the tour to Nepal in 2021. His return on the back of a strong club summer adds further depth and experience to the squad.

"It's also great to welcome Sebastiaan Braat back into the side. It's been a couple of years since he last played for us, but he's had a very strong summer at club and domestic level, and we're looking forward to having his experience back in the group as well,” the Dutch captain said.

The squad changes will also see all-rounder Sikander Zulfiqar making a comeback after 6 years. The captain had nothing but praise for the 28-year-old.

“Sikander has been a valuable member of our national team before and I'm glad to see him back in orange. He's got phenomenal ability to clear the fence late in the game and I can't wait to see him back and amongst the group,” Edwards said.

This will be the first time The Netherlands are touring Bangladesh for a bilateral series. The two teams will play three T20 matches with the first one on August 30, second one on September 1 and the third one on September 3.
