Scotland's first fixture in the tour to Namibia ended in familiar frustration on Thursday, as their eagerly anticipated clash with Oman was abandoned without a toss, due to the wet outfield at Windhoek.

The match was cancelled without a ball being bowled, leaving both sides to share a point. It was a bitter pill, particularly for a Scotland side that has seen five matches end without a result in this ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cycle, the most of any side.

Scotland will hope to carry forward the confidence of a well-oiled unit, despite not playing ODI cricket since September 2025 as they sit in second place on the table.

Richie Berrington's side will hope for better conditions as they take on the hosts Namibia at Windhoek on Monday 6 April on their road to the ICC Men’s World Cup 2027 in South Africa and Namibia.
