Katherine Fraser was drafted as a wildcard pick for the 2025 season of the Hundred by the Northern Superchargers. The 20-year-old all-rounder was part of the Headingley based side as they won the competition for the first time.
Fraser told Cricket Scotland "The most valuable part of the tournament for me was just getting to see how some of the best players in the world go about their game, and how they prepare in training to play at such a high level.”
Fraser gained invaluable experience playing alongside a number of world-class players, including Australian internationals Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland, George Wareham and Nicola Carey.
The youngster got an opportunity to feature in two games over the course of the tournament. She made her debut against Southern Brave, and celebrated the occasion by taking the wicket of the English great Danni Wyatt-Hodge.
Looking back at the tournament Fraser said, "Getting to be a part of the Hundred with the Superchargers this year was a really special experience, with the highlight being the final at Lords.”
Fraser will return to national duty for the Emerging Nations Trophy in Thailand this November, as she sets her eyes on winning silverware for Scotland. The tournament will be an important one in the lead up to the all-important ICC T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in Nepal in early 2026.
