Munsey jumps 3 places in ICC ODI Men's batter rankings after heroics against Canada

ICC has updated its World Rankings, and the new ICC Men’s ODI batter sees Scotland batter George Munsey up three places to 34th after a match-winning 84 not out against Canada in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2.
The same match saw Scotland captain Richie Berrington put up 64 runs on the board. The performance sees Berrington jump up a place to 57th, switching places with Afghanistan legend Mohammad Nabi.
Brandon McMullen maintains his strong position in the top 10 of the all-rounder rankings, despite falling two ranks down to 8th place after a two-ball duck, however, he did manage to take two wickets.
Scotland has the ICC Men’s World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in their sights, Scotland are currently ranked third in ICC CWC League 2. After the first game in Canada was a washout against Namibia. They managed to chase 185 against Canada with ease in their second game of the tournament. The Scots find themselves on track to finish in the top 4 and a step closer to their goal. They look to climb the ranking by picking up crucial wins in their upcoming fixtures against Namibia and Canada on 4 September and 6 September, respectively.
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards, who is currently playing a 3-match T20I series in Bangladesh, drops a couple of places to 35th in the batters' ranking.
