Ireland are all set to visit Bangladesh for a multi-format tour comprising two Tests and three T20Is from 11 November to 2 December.
Ireland will be looking to extend their winning run in Test cricket that began in March 2024. They beat Afghanistan in UAE, followed by beating Zimbabwe, both at home - in July 2024 - and then in an away Test at Bulawayo in February 2025, to make three Test wins in a row.
The upcoming tour to Bangladesh will be their only second Test match in the country, having played an only Test in 2023, which was won by the hosts by seven wickets, despite a hard fought century by Lorcan Tucker.
Bangladesh are also leading the T20I head to head across eight matches, being ahead 5-2 with one no result.
Ireland won the last T20I encounter between the two sides by seven wickets with Paul Stirling starring with 77 (41) which was a part of Ireland's tour to Bangladesh in 2023.
Ireland will go into the series against Bangladesh, having lost the three-match T20I series 2-0 against England with one match abandoned due to rain in Dublin. Bangladesh on the other hand just won a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan 3-0 in Sharjah, they exited from the Super 4s stages of the Asia Cup. Their last series at home saw them defeat Netherlands 2-0 in a three-match T20I series held in Sylhet between 30 August and 3 September.
