ICC Men's T20 World Cup: Jarvis replaces Sharif in Scotland squad

Scotland has announced Jack Jarvis as a replacement for Safyaan Sharif in the squad after the seamer injured his right groin during a team training session on 12 February.

The Event Technical Committee (ETC) of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 approved the addition of Jarvis who has eight T20I caps for Scotland and 11 wickets. He was already with the squad as a travelling reserve, and now joins the 15-player squad replacing Sharif. 

Scotland are set to face Nepal in Mumbai on Tuesday 17 February for their last group stage game having already been knocked out, should he play it will provide the 22 year-old with chance to gain exposure in front of a strong crowd at the iconic Wankhede stadium.
