New Zealand’s star all-rounder Mitchell Santner saw his side secure a historic nine-wicket victory against an unbeaten South African side on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at the storied Eden Gardens in Kolkata and has become the second captain in the history of the Black Caps to lead them to the finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Santner is scheduled to captain the Edinburgh Castle Rockers in the inaugural edition of the ETPL. The Castle Rockers will be relying on his bowling economy of 6.33 from 24 overs delivered during the World Cup, alongside his batting average of 38.50 and a strike rate of 157.14, anticipating a significant contribution to their maiden ETPL campaign.
