Meghna Rajan has been selected to tour New Zealand as part of the squad by the prestigious Charlotte Edwards foundation. At just 17 years old, Rajan has already made a inedible mark on international women's cricket, becoming the cornerstone of Switzerland's historic debut year in T20I.

Her debut in May 2025, at that time she was 16 years, was a transformative moment for cricket in Switzerland. Rajan delivered performances so exceptional that they challenged the conventional expectations of any emerging talent.

She established herself as the mainstay of the a side that won all 12 of their T20I matches in their debut year maintaining a 100% win rate. Apart from her stellar numbers, including four 50s, she was also the vice-captain for Switzerland.

The Charlotte Edwards Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering women and girls in cricket by helping create a more inclusive and supportive environment at all levels of the game. It is named after the former England captain, a legend of the sport with over 300 international appearances, who now serves as chair of the Foundation and is the current head coach of the England Women’s team.

The tour to New Zealand this month will provide Rajan with a vital platform to gain further international experience and train in world-class facilities. Led by World Cup winner Joanne Broadbent, the squad will benefit from the guidance of the highly respected Australian coach, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the selected cricketers. Rajan will continue to hone and develop her skills in the New Zealand summer, seizing the chance to play competitive cricket at a time when the sport is largely on hold during the winter months in Switzerland.
