Ross McMollum, a highly respected figure in Irish cricket, has assumed the position of interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Cricket Ireland (CI) while the board continues its search for a permanent leader

Having served as Chair of CI for over ten years, McCollum brings a deep understanding of both the sport and the organization, positioning him as an ideal choice to lead during the interim period until a permanent CEO is designated.

As per a release by The Cricket Ireland, the board, led by Chair Brian MacNeice remains committed to finding the right candidate for the permanent CEO position describing the role as “one of the biggest administration roles in Irish sport”.

McCollum’s interim tenure is set to begin next week. With him behind the wheel, the organization aims to sustain progress on its strategic objectives and continue developing the sport across the country, all while carefully managing the search for a long-term leader who can build on Ireland’s growing cricket ambitions.

With major initiatives underway that could fundamentally transform the landscape of Irish cricket, stability and assured leadership will remain essential.

“Cricket Ireland is involved in a number of substantial projects that have the potential to transform our sport for years to come, and to have someone of Ross’ calibre to support us during this interim period is welcome news."
