Four leading women’s cricket’s associate nations will converge in Bangkok later this week for a T20I Quadrangular series, serving as a prequel to the inaugural edition of ICC Emerging Nations Trophy, which is set to follow immediately after.

A four-day Quad Cup event running from 14–17 November, will feature hosts Thailand, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Namibia, offering valuable game time in subcontinental conditions before the ICC event starting on 20 November.

For all four sides, the series provides a vital opportunity to fine-tune combinations and acclimatise to local conditions after limited recent match practice.

This upcoming event is a key part of ICC's strategy to strengthen the women's Associate pathway. It tackles the issue of associate teams having insufficient high-quality international games to play by offering competitive international fixtures to emerging teams.

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Craig Wallace said the competition comes at the perfect time for his side’s return to international action, “This is hugely important for us ahead of the Emerging Nations Trophy, as we haven't played cricket as a group for a long time. It’s a really good opportunity to work on how we want to be playing leading into that competition.”

“There's not much opportunity for training with the schedule for the Emerging Nations Trophy the way it is, so this is going to be important for us to get used to the conditions in Thailand, and work on our game ahead of an exciting couple of weeks.”

The Quadrangular Series fixtures for Scotland are as follows:
