Scotland has officially named its 14-player squad for a four-match T20 series in the Channel Islands.
Keegan Russell, Scotland Men’s U19 Head and Head of Boys Pathway Coach will travel with the group.
The matches against the Jersey men’s national team are scheduled to be held at Grainville Cricket Ground on the weekend of 18-19 April, and are intended to provide the players with crucial international exposure as part of the development pathway as they progress with their careers.
Steve Snell, Cricket Scotland Head of Performance told Cricket Scotland:
“We’re excited to announce this squad for what will be a really challenging series in Jersey playing on a variety of surfaces. It’s a great chance for these players to perform in a high-performance environment and put themselves in the frame for future international selection. It’s also excellent to give Keegan Russell the responsibility of leading the group and for the tour to be a vehicle for the coaching development pathway as well as for players.
“There’s a good balance to the squad, which includes new players from within county cricket joining a wider group who’ve performed consistently in Scottish domestic cricket or have already attained full international exposure, added to less experienced players who have been part of the Scotland pathway or played for Scotland U19, and are now showing signs that they are ready to take the next step forward.”
