It boils down to the final day of ICC Women's Global Qualifier 2026 with two spots up for grabs after Ireland beat an already qualified Netherlands by 98 runs on Friday, while Scotland who are fighting for qualification lost by 90 runs to Bangladesh, who maintain their 100% win record.
Ireland jump to third spot on the table overtaking Scotland due to the contrasting effect on their net run rate today. Both Ireland and Scotland need a victory to secure their top four position.

Ireland 143-9 (20 overs)
Leah Paul 39 (24), Amy Hunter 34 (31); Hannah Landheer 3-35
Netherlands 45 all out (14.5 overs)
Iris Zwilling 10 (12) Caroline de Lange 6 (12); Orla Prendergast 3-13
Ireland won by 98 runs
Ireland picked up a much needed win and a huge boost to their NRR against the Netherlands as Orla Prendergast picked up player of the match as they secured a massive 98-run victory against the Netherlands.
Leah Paul 39 and Amy Hunter 34 allowed Ireland to put up 143-9, with Hannah Landheer taking three wickets to her name.
The Dutch were bundled out for 45 runs due to three wicket hauls by both Prendergast and Jane Maguire.
The defeat had little impact on the Netherlands, who sealed a historic maiden qualification for the Women’s T20 World Cup on the final matchday and opted to rotate their squad, with key players including Heather Siegers and Sanya Khurana rested.
Ireland now sit in a strong position, boosted by the result as they move up to third in the Super Six with four points and a significantly superior net run rate to Scotland, heading into their final match against Thailand.
Bangladesh 191-5 (20 overs)
Nigar Sultana 56* (35), Sobhana Mostary 47 (23); Katherine Fraser 1-39
Scotland 101-9 (20 overs)
Pippa Sproul 27* (23), Megan McColl 20 (22); Marufa Akter 3-25
Bangladesh won by 90 runs
Scotland had the chance to secure their place in the marquee tournament, but a polished, professional performance from the already-qualified Bangladesh dealt a heavy blow to the net run rate they had spent the past week building.
The Scottish bowlers barring skipper, Kathryn Bryce who finished 0-20 after four overs had no answers to the Bangladesh firepower, led by Nigar Sultana 56* and Sobhana Mostary 47 from 23 put up 191 runs on the board.
With a steep chase on the cards, Scotland got off to the worst possible start losing Darcey Carter on the first ball of the innings.
With the tone set early in the innings, the remaining Scottish batters struggled to make an impact. Debutant Pippa Sproul’s unbeaten 27 off 23 balls was the lone bright spot on an otherwise sobering day for Scotland.
Scotland sit in fourth place with four points as it stands and have their fate in their hands but will need a result against USA in their last match to confirm their spot in England and Wales.
