Undefeated in the tournament, debutants Germany clinched the Women's Nordic Cup 2025 on Sunday, dominating all four of their matches.

The margins of victory – by 8 wickets v Finland, by 78 runs v Norway, by 74 runs v Sweden and by 64 runs v Denmark – exposed the chasm between Germany and the rest.

It was only last week at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup European Qualifiers, Germany, were on the other side of the fate, having lost six from their six matches against much-higher ranked Ireland, Netherlands and Italy in a double round robin format.

Germany’s inclusion this was the first occasion the tournament's participation extended the event’s reach beyond Nordic borders.

Captain Asmita Kohli starred with the ball bagging eight wickets, while Wilhelmina Hornero-Garcia was terrific with the bat amassing 126 runs, both of them finished second on the most wickets and most runs charts. However, it was the ever-reliable Janet Ronalds that shone the brightest, having hit 99 runs and claimed seven wickets, including a five-for, capping a brilliant all round show.

Other notable performances from the tournament included a 78 from Sweden’s Kanchan Rana against Norway at Albertslund, it was also the highest individual score from the 10 games. In the same game she picked up two wickets as well.

Mirab Razwan delivered a career-best performance of 6/7 against Finland with Norway winning a thriller at Ishoj chasing down 67 with only 1 wicket in hand. Mirab battled her way to remain unbeaten at the end having scored 7 off 29 balls. That was Norway’s only win in the tournament.
