On Thursday, 26 February 2026, Amsterdam Flames announced that Netherlands all-rounder Bas de Leede will join their squad for the inaugural season of the ETPL.

The Flames have already built a strong core, and the addition of the Dutch superstar as their fifth signing further strengthens their firepower. With 1,284 runs and 58 wickets to his name in T20 cricket, De Leede has consistently proven his value as a genuine match-winning all-rounder.

De Leede was one of the standout performers for Netherlands at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. He impressed with the bat, scoring 158 runs, the most by any European player in the group stage; he scored at an outstanding average of 52.66. He also made a significant impact with the ball, claiming five wickets during the tournament, showing his ability as one of the best players the format has to offer.

His most memorable performance came in New Delhi against Namibia, where he produced a superb all-round display, scoring an unbeaten 72 and picking up two wickets to secure the Netherlands’ only win of the campaign.
